ABOUT THE KARIEGA CLASSIC
The Kariega Classic will be staged in the Kariega Valley on Saturday 16 December 2023 at
Southwell Cricket Club, The event was the brainchild of Springbok rugby legend, Hennie le Roux and meanders through the game farms of the Kariega Valley. It’s the perfect breakaway before Christmas and New Year and is designed as a real Family Affair with both MTB and Trail Runs being on Offer!
MTB routes will cater for the novice to more serious mountain biker with 3 route distances namely 15km, 28km and 52km.
The TRAIL RUN has distances of 5km and 10km. The run was a new addition to last year’s event, and so popular we decided to keep it.
Medals & Prizes
Results will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd in all distances in both male and female.
Only riders who pre enter will be eligible for finishers medals and results. Please help us on the day by entering online.
R100 penalty fee for all late entries and late entries will not feature on the results.
Ride / Run information
Each race will have it’s own dedicated start, click here to view the start schedule for Kariega Classic 2023.
We will have unmanned water holes en-route and it will be self service. Please bring your own bottle along as there won’t be reusable cups at these places.
This will be unmanned to avoid human contact and your Finisher Medal will be on the table for you to collect. We will have trophies for the top 3 in each class and once they are through the finish we will call them up to podium.
Food and Drinks:
The Southwell Club will be laying on a wonderful spread of food and refreshments so please support..
Entries will close at 5pm on the 15 December and late registrations on the morning will be charged an additional R100 per entry.
